SenecaSoMe is a Ministry-accredited Social Media Graduate Certificate Program in Ontario that also offers training and certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sysomos. In fact, there is currently no other graduate certificate program like this in North America! This FULL-TIME program runs from September – April on Fridays and Saturdays only. This is NOT a typo! You can keep working AND still be in a full-time Social Media program.
SenecaSoMe is an eight-month launch pad into the changing digital landscape. The program helps you build essential social media knowledge and experience, and position yourself as an expert in the field.
Social media is driving the ways organizations communicate with their audiences: what was once one-way communication is now a dialogue. Engaging audiences and increasing the frequency and quality of customer interactions is less an option than a necessity. The #SenecaSoMe graduate certificate program is designed to help you respond to this mandate. You’ll graduate as a front-runner in social media knowledge and practice, and be prepared to strategically assess and execute opportunities in marketing, public relations, communications, employee recruitment and engagement.
The program was designed with input from industry experts who stated that there is a requirement for grads that can develop strategy and can demonstrate analytical and technical skills. It is taught by faculty that also work in the industry – so what you learn is current and relevant! It is supported and endorsed by many leaders in Social Media and marketing. This program will give you hands-on experience with Social Media, regardless of your academic background. The field placement component gives you practical experience. It has virtually universal application in marketing, public relations, communications and HR in the B2C, B2B, not-for-profit, government and academic sectors.
The Full-Time program runs on Fridays and Saturdays, leaving you free to work Full-Time, Part-Time, Volunteer or simply focus exclusively on your studies. Note that class times are approximate as it depends on room and faculty scheduling.
